Need Help Finding a Job in Texas?
Check out the Texas Workforce Website. There you will find a searchable, comprehensive database of jobs in Texas. This site allows users to register (for free) and search for jobs. It has proven to be a beneficial tool for matching job seekers with potential employers.
Looking for Job Training Programs?
Texas Workforce Commission Apprenticeship Training Program is an effective job training system for skilled trade and journey workers. Apprenticeship training is designed to prepare individuals for occupations in skilled trades and crafts and combines structured on-the-job training – supervised by experienced journey workers – with related classroom instructions. Apprentices who successfully complete the prescribed number of training hours in a registered apprenticeship training program can become certified and skilled journey workers.
North Texas Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The program teaches eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and placing them in meaningful jobs or further education.
Youth Build USA is a youth and community development program that simultaneously addresses core issues facing low-income communities: housing, education, employment, crime prevention, and leadership development. In YouthBuild programs, low-income youth people ages 16-24 work toward their GEDs or high school diplomas, learn job skills and serve their communities by building affordable housing, and transform their own lives and roles in society.
